
Job Overview
Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is actively seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Implementation & Operations Manager to support electricity-focused software integrations for a rapidly growing clean energy technology employer. This individual will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of metering infrastructure software deployments, coordinating across internal teams and external partners to ensure operational success from initial pilot through long-term sustainment.
This is a high-visibility role requiring a balance of technical depth, operational oversight, and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation and operational health of smart meter deployments, working across engineering, product, infrastructure, customer support, and utility program teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and external meter manufacturers, ensuring technical alignment and execution against deployment timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans and milestones that align with customer schedules; track progress and adjust resources as needed to stay on course.
- Drive cross-functional communication across internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and consistent service delivery.
- Identify deployment risks or technical roadblocks early and proactively mitigate them through structured problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead the transition from implementation to long-term support by establishing scalable workflows and performance benchmarks.
- Design and maintain monitoring protocols and key metrics (KPIs) to track system health, reliability, and network connectivity post-deployment.
- Collaborate with customer service and technical support teams to identify usage trends or performance issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Resolve technical issues tied to implementation and testing efforts by partnering with engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Define clear ownership across partners and internal teams, standardize best practices, and maintain operational documentation and response playbooks.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in project or implementation management roles overseeing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs.
- Background in post-launch operations or production system support, including performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in using project management platforms and frameworks to drive execution across phases.
- Deep technical acumen in software systems, API integration, cloud infrastructure, networking, and security protocols.
- Prior experience working with electric utilities, smart meters, or energy technology is strongly preferred but not required.
